JRX-Pro "Modern" runner...

The photo below is my TLR 22 sitting next to the newly completed JRX-Pro I've been restoring. JRX-Pro is a "modern" runner with 2.2" tires, brushless system, and lipo batteries. It also has as many creature comforts as I could add at this point such as threaded shock bodies, ti-nitride shafts, lunsford turnbuckles, etc... I see some 2wd stock and vintage class racing in this buggy's future. Who knows - maybe even the VoNats....
I'm still looking for the retro-fit transmission for this car as I'd feel much more comfortable with brushless and lipo with that transmission in the car over the LRM tranny...

Super cool Chris!! I think i might have to itch the Jrx platform at some point! Its an old car but the shape is timeless..

Chris, I ran a 4400kv this past weekend in my LRM tranny, no issues
A set of big bores would look really good on there.

A 17.5 bl in the LRM tranny does just fine. Just make sure you set the diff so that you have no slippage. Adding a slipper clutch would be a good idea as well. I have tried the retro fit trannies in a few of my vonats rides and the LRM tranny is simply faster.

Me too. Those new buggies, to me, looks like you're driving around a letter "H".

I actually have the Pro-SE slipper clutch on it already. Both diff and slipper are set properly. I actually have an Xcelorin 10.5 in it right now and it has been running pretty good out in the parking lot. I may try it in 2wd Mod class at my track with that motor in it.
I need to find an RPM JRX Pro SE gear cover. If anyone has one - new or used - that they'd like to part with, let me know...

Once you get it all set up, post it up. At the last race I had some nasty low speed push (like a dump truck), but I know I had the wrong front tires on.
Are you using long front shocks & tower?

Just an update - Here's a "body-off" pick of the JRX Pro I put together.
Car is a "stock" JRX Pro with the following "modern" upgrades. I'm hoping this type of setup qualifies to run vintage racing classes. I don't know anything about rules, etc...
- Team Losi threaded shock bodies
- Team Losi ti-nitride gold shock shafts
- Team Losi JRX ProSE slipper clutch
- Lunsford Punisher turnbuckles and ball cups
- Team Losi titanium ballstuds
- Team Losi XXX rear wheels
- Team Associated B4 front wheels
- Team Losi Xcelorin sensored brushless speedo
- Team Losi Xcelorin sensored 10.5 brushless motor
- Team Losi Xcelorin 96mm shorty lipo battery

for the VoNats, 17.5 motor. Other than that, you are good.

How did you go about mounting the 2.2 wheels? From what I recall, the front axle sizes are different, or are they not?
