Cadillac Gold Pan at work....

So I'm sitting at my desk today, doing my thing...one of the guys comes in and drops this on my desk and says, "Hey, do you know anything about this thing? You like those RC cars, right?"

It appears that it is an A-stamp Cadillac 6-gear, looks to be all original except front wheels/tires.
Front wheels/tires definitely NOT stock. (Front tires are trashed/torn, wheels nice condition)
It's got front sway bar, darker pan, lighter nose-plate.
Plastics look to be in really nice condition.
Doesn't look like it has a whole lot of running on it.
Pan is not scratched up too bad, nose plate has taken some scrapes.

Did you tell him it was worthless and that you would 'dispose' of it for him?

Does the motor plate color match the chassis or the nose piece? It'll let you know which part was replaced.

Motor plate matches the pan.

The guy knows NOTHING about RC cars other than he bought his 12yr old son an HPI Blitz to bash around the house with.
Someone gave this to him and his son and he brought it in to me because, "It goes full blast forward when we turn it on, can you see what's up with it tonight?"

My face plain gave it away, but I was like, "This is an old 6 gear, very very hard to find parts for unless you know where to look...hobbytown doesn't carry the parts. This thing is over 20 yrs old...quite the competitor back in the day, multiple world championships...20 yrs ago"

Not sure what he's gonna wanna do with it based on what I told him. I believe the radio dual-rates were all wacky and that's probably the only reason why it was "full throttle". haha.

We'll see tonight, though.
