Here´s an update picture :-)
Not much progress - I keep running into missing parts. I´ll have to have a word with the guy who planned this build :)

A small update -
Hence the newest development in CAT prices  :D I´ve gone into warp speed to finish this one off.
Still missing a couple of parts, guess I´ll miss the gold rush

A lovely job well done, looks like we are at about the same stage.
Have you had any luck finding rear wing buttons, Im nearly getting to the point of buying a lathe and making the damn things myself.
Please let me know how the penguin shell works out, I did read that somewhere that they ran a little thin in parts of the moulding.

Have you also considered Kamtec? They've been making shells for years. My Procat shell from them seems very good. I got some undertrays from Team Bluegroove.

One of my mates used to run the SWB, then the XL CAT. I remember he had a real pain trying to build and set it up correctly.

Inspired by CAT3K´s freshly painted XLS, I decided to paint mine this morning.
The Tekin stickers was not applied because I dipped my fat fingers in the fresh paint, nope!

This mould could be one of a kind, it must be impossible to deviate from the centerline so seriously again.
I can´t remember which make the body is, but I was extremely happy with it when I bought it 6-7 years ago.
The enthusiasm faded a bit, this morning, when I tried to mask it, I had big plans for the "hood", but it didn´t look all that fresh with the scoop out of center.

So I ended up with this - No one will notice the bad mould - I drive like a rocket!...... Almost.

Nice subtle window trim. What did you use for masking?

Thanks -
I used Tamiyas yellow masking tape.
It was my first time masking with no bleeds, even though I´ve used the same tape before.
