Call Me Crazy

Call me crazy, BUT I have the urge to anodize the aluminum parts of Mr. Emerson's wheels to black to match the black and gold scheme. Keep in mind that I will likely use a new body with a black and gold scheme.
Thoughts?

You could ano them black and use gold screws.

Just a thought.
BTW you owe me a new shirt. My nipples went clean through this one.

That's something to think about THUMB.
I think Emerson mentioned that the rear aluminum sections were already anodized to be aluminum, so I suppose that means I have to strip that anodizing off first. I guess I could PM him to find out why this was, seems odd to me.
Is there anyone on the forum that does a lot of anodizing?

Sometimes having imagination can be a very bad thing....

Looking at it a bit more that aluminum showing without tires really sets that thing off.

I think black may dull the overall shock effect when laying eyes upon it, especially if you ever add black tires. I say leave it alone, regardless of how many shirts it ruins.
It's one of those models that reminds me of the final scene of "Raiders Of The Lost Ark".

I'd say go for it you might want to polish them before plating to give them more of a sheen

I will wait until I get the tires on it to rethink it I guess

Reminds me of every time I see my wife naked. I like to reach out and turn the "knobs" and say "Can you get ESPN radio on these things?". It's a slight twist (no pun intended) on the old "Tune In Tokyo" joke... Meh, she loves it...

You could always ano the centers black and the outer rings gold
