Stupid.
I remember way back when they would test a new RC monster truck, and they'd line up about 6 brand new buggies and smash them with the truck for the photo shoot. That didn't last long, RCCA got so many letters from kids who asked them to send the buggies out to them.

Certainly it was Jandersons perogative to burn that cool custom truck up but I think the flamethrower would have had more signifigance if it had burned a Nikko toy r/c up instead of that nice custion truck.

Somewhere I have the RCCA where they showed the buildup of that rig... seems to me it was pretty trick for the time. Things like Bruiser axles and such...I recall it even had an air cylinder arrangement for the bed. What a waste.

They caught a lot of flack for that stunt. They swore up and down that they'd removed all the "valuable" parts before torching, but still. As Shodog said, it would have been much better had they torched a "toy" rc and not the custom rig.
Say, would anyone be whining about this if they'd have put Kev's custom axles under it first?
is this the same guy who just fabbed up that kinda whacko complicated drivetrain monster truck?
and it shoulda been a nitro tmaxx they burned. full of fuel... that woulda been rad to see and nobody woulda really minded all that much.

i guess guys who get stuff free all the time don't really care about how that free stuff is treated. just some more guys trying to look like knoxville and the jackhole crew. personally i think it just makes them look uneducated and in need of a meaningful life. flamethrowing rc monster trucks are cool, but how this one was used is just stupid. another reason i don't buy rc mags.

I agree that it was his prerogative to do that, but it was completely retarded. IMO it just makes them look like idiots for destroying a sweet looking rig.
