How do I refinish Kyosho Turbo Ultima wheels?

I'm finishing up my Turbo Ultima restore, everything is in great condition with the exception of the wheels, they have a few blemishes and I'm wondering what to use to repaint/refinish them. I sprayed a set of rims with Krylon aluminum finish paint, not bad but I think I can do better to bring them back closer to factory. any ideas would be appreciated.

Those are factory plated, and the plating sure didn't last long. Neither will paint, been there, done that and it just ends up looking like crap if you're running the car. If it's just going to grace a shelf, then paint will be fine. Krylon Fusion for Plastic would be your best bet for a paint that will do a fair job of bonding to the plastic, but I doubt even that would hold up to actual driving conditions.

The wheels are for the shelf. I have another set of tires and rims for the rare occasion that I run the car. I may try their chrome paint as another option.
