Well it's been 2 weeks since my last cig. I would have thought it would started to get easier by now. But every day seems to get harder. Seems like I have a daily headaches and bad moods. But I'm still proud of myself for still hanging in and not giving up!

Good job. Hang in there. It will get better, trust me. Everyone said you would gain weight when you quit so if possible when I would have a craving or mood spell I would do push-ups, sit-ups or throw around some weights. Seemed to help the cravings, not so sure about the weight.

I stopped 11 years ago, never looked back. If you get upset with the withdrawal turn it towards the addiction. It is the habit itself that makes you sick. It helped me. I did gain about 20 pounds but then my body returned to my normal size at the time.
If you have gone 2 weeks you are there, that was the most difficult time frame for me.

Hang in there, won't be much longer and it will be no sweat- avoid people if you have to, sleep on the couch, whatever- your doing it for you.

My wife and kids have been trying to get me to quit for some time now. It's kind of weird that I just woke up one morning and just decided I didn't want to smoke anymore.

My wife was on me for 6 years, I couldn't have cared less- then one day someone asked to bum one and I gave them the whole pack. Haven't touched one since (but went through 6 weeks of being very irritable) You won't believe how much better you will feel in 6 more weeks- and its even greater in a year. Keep it up man!

Dipping your cigs in tartar sauce before smoking them makes them harder to light, so you give up rather than smoke.
