Tonight I bought a hotplate for $19.00 to dye my parts in the basement. I have been using the grill outside, but it never got the water to a good boil.

You can't do that !! You did not piss the wife off .

Thats a good idea, the disposable foil pan as well. I like it.

All it takes is one genius to ruin it for the rest of us.

Just be especially careful. Those foil pans become very precarious under high heat and can fold in on you once their integrity breaks down. Basically they can easily bend and pour scolding hot water all over you. I'm sure that goes without saying, but I felt it worth mentioning.

Unless of course you're into that sort of thing...

I stood back to avoid any burning if it spilled.

And now we have a hotplate to run off the generator when we lose power.

How will you know you're getting the right temperature if you don't turn the mashed potatoes blue?

As was said about the foil pans, BAD BAD BAD idea to use them. You invested the money in the hot plate, go back to the thrift shop and pick up a sauce pan or larger pot (or both ) to use. The last thing we need is pics from the emergency room of your 3rd degree burns.

Oh, the reason for the two pots is so one can call the other black ... Actually, it is to give you choices in pan for the sized part you are trying to dye, you're not going to get a NIB gold pan down into a little sauce pot.

WalleeeeeWorld...20 bucks with a jug to keep my dye in...

No one has ever given me bad advice, so I will be on the lookout for a cheap pot.

I hear too cheap pot might turn out to be quite something else and might warrant a trip to the emergency department...

Some say its dangerous but i've lost 70 lbs on the Jenny Crank diet. A rip in the morning, another at lunch, then skip dinner altogether has got me looking trim
