I am in the middle of an assambly and have some issues with clarification maybe you guys could help me with.
I have 3 different rear hub carriers.

A-2126 ?? degree 3 hole KW
A-2125 ?? degree 2 hole -CR
A-9805 2.5 degree 5 hole original and upgrade?

Now what goes with what. the manuals seem to contridict what is installed.
I want the 2.5 degree hub carriers but do I use it with the 2 degree innner pivot block?? 4.5 degree total seems like a bit much??

I think the 5 hole goes with the original XX rear arms. All of the toe was built into the hub. And being that they are 9705 option series, probably "hard" or something. The others are early and late XXcr parts I believe.

Yup your right did some more digging and the 5 hole 2125 are original with fixed inner pivot block. The 2 hole are for cr with 2 degree inner PB and 3 hole are KW. Hmm still not sure about the 9805's but what you say makes sense about some difference.
Guess I cant argue with a guy who won the worlds with the 2 degree pivot block and 3 hole hubs....and has had the car named after him

Well, well.

The original XX came with 0° of toe-in and 3.5° of toe-out
This 3.5° was provided by a set of 5 holes rear hubs.
The 2.5° cames a long time after in tuning parts.
The XX CR came with 3° of toe-in and 0° of toe-out
The 0° was provided by a set of 2 holes rear hubs.
This hubs was updated with the XX CR Kinwald edition with a third hole (raced at 1997 Ranch Pit Shop IFMAR Worlds).
Drilled for the race and molded after ;)

Thats cool thanks kenooze. Now by toe "in" and toe "out" you are refering to inner and outer points correct?

Yes, toe-in for inside (on the chassis), toe-out for outside (on the hubs)
You have to care also to the antisquat angle.
The XX original came with 4° if I remember well and a tunning part offered 2°.
The CR came with 2° of antisquat and a tunning part offered 0°.

For tight indoor & high grip tracks I used to run the original XX rear hubs 'flipped' on my CR converted car - this gave near-parallel rear wheels & made the car really nimble... yet at the same time still seemed to have better O/A traction! - I put this down to the fact that you got less 'scrub' on the velcro-like Schumacher Micro-spike tyres that we used - must have had some odd stuff happening in 'bump' though

Interestingly enough I recall never running the 'CR' rear end on grass, we always used to use the parallel pivot block with 2 degrees of anti-squat, and 3.5 degree hubs plugged then drilled to 3 degrees! That was the hot setup BITD.

IIRC it was that the 'CR' rear end gave too much grip and therefore took even more away from the front, something that you didnt want as the car tended to understeer.

Yes! I was chatting with James White (do you remember him?) only the other week about our beloved XX racers Bitd - & recalling that the original XX rear end arrangement was the prefered arrangement.... indeed I have just scored a KW XX from a friend & it has the early plate & wishbones fitted :!:

Wishbones drilled with a 4th hole further out? Hehehee

Yup! :D Funnily enough on my CR2 the 'hot' set-up is to drill another hole more in-board than the inner most shock position on the arm/wishbone.
