RC10 5 LINK PROJECT FINISHED!

still needs a ton o work just got the losi 5 link fit up to the chassis for now still need to drill some holes and sand blast plus fit up some more parts this is gonna be a good one! i have never seen before hope i am the first to do so. the best 2 r/c off road cars combined as one! NEW PICS AT BOTTOM!

very interesting setup for sure....it may handle alot mor like a conventional rail type 1600 buggy of that era. be intersting to see how it works.

I probably woulda tried that but with stealth tranny and mip cvds and try use the losi 5link and xxcr frontend parts for wicked oneoff lol.But wicked start gonna be watchn it.DON

I wondered how long it would be before someone else had the idea I did. I had it mocked up a bit further than you do there, I was going to use only the 5 link, then everything else stock AE.

Even if you finish this, I will still build one eventually.

she is done! used automotive crinkle paint on the chassis and shocks. whole rear section is from the jrx2 minus the rear shock tower. trinity tires all around with trinity front wheels and tamiya rear wheels.

I am especially liking the PRO/JRXT front tower on the AE bulkhead...with an AE sticker on it none the less!!

How close are the AE rear shock tower holes to the JRX bulkhead? I've had both cars for years and never matched them up.

how does the losi steering work? does it clear every thing and use stock chassis holes? what parts did you use? i really want to use this steerig on one of my rc10s... very cool build!!

I tried that when I was a kid but I couldn't drill a straight hole in aluminum to save my life! I never ran it. I am of the opinion that the 5 link is one of the best rc rear suspension designs of all time if not the best. Nothing is better on a loose surface.

they are close but need to drill some holes for it to work.

had to flip around the steering arm but it clears all, might fit differnt with the assoc front shock tower.

well here is a little update! :) since the build its been collecting dust so u found a new pro mod body which i love. so painted her up in blk met changed out the rear wheels and well, i think she's done now :) (left the hood scopp removeable)
