Glad to see Don taking that on, I have a pseudo-similar multi color/stage anno project going on. Amazing what can be done with some creativity

I have been thinking about playing around with ano myself. It looks to me like he has mastered the art. Not to mention it looks like he is doing hard coat ano? Am i correct? I heard that method uses very toxic chemicals. If he would share any info that would be awesome :D

Don is THE man for anno work. Only wish I'd found him sooner to do the all metal car I put together.

Hard anodizing is a low temperature process, pretty much the same as standard anodizing except lower tank temps and much higher current density. Now, teflon coating after the hard anodizing might be toxic, I don't know.

As in you have to keep the temps regulated via solution cooling on the hard anno due to the higher voltage...if I remember right? The teflon is PFE/PTFE and toxic in vapor form a believe as well-

yes, the tank needs to be cooled during the process.

That looks pretty cool. I used to know a guy that could put labels and logos in the anodizing. I believe the process is normally called "Anoprinting".
