RC10 Graphite Team Car ?

I got this one in the mail today.
When I first layed my eyes on it I thought - wouw such nice tires, I need to have this
The Novak gear is in good shape, but it´s funny how the owner spent a small fortune on novak gear, and then went with a 20 dollar receiver.
I´ve a couple of questions that I can´t seem to find the answers to:
1. What kind of steering is that alloy thing?
2. The wing wire mounts, what are they?
Would it be bad manners to mount 3 piece rear rims on it?
Any help appreciated.

All 3 versions (TQ10 not withstanding) from the 6 gear 6025/6030 to both styles of the 6036 all had the gold motorplate

For the 6G, that I sure knew... Interestingly I had never noticed the alum TeamCar had a black plate and the Graphite version had the gold plate... thanks for this
(gotta check what I have at home... I'd swear I have a couple of graphite TC with black plates...)

Nice car. What did you get it for? I bought mine for $100 on ebay and it came with a futaba servo and a novak NESC-1X speed control. Mine has all sorts of upgrades to it. I'll post up some pics for you to look at if you want to see a winning setup. Now the car is my shelf queen, and hasn't seen the road in almost a year or two.

Best car I ever owned, but I decided to retire it due to the nice parts and the rarity in favor of my beat up gold pan. Anyway, this car can easily beat a brushless B4 with just my brushed Yokomo 14t motor and my Tekin esc. Best car I ever drove with some of the bets handling. Pretty good for $100

Let me know if you want any more pictures of a specific part or area.

After a "bit" of scrubbing and some peroxide, this is the result.
Stil needs a battery compartment and brace.
The homebrew, ended up a bit too spacey

Looks good! I want to say I have an Associated manual or insert with the graphite buggy's wheels exactly as you have... three piece rears and one piece feather lights up front.

Thanks for letting me know about the rims.
The ones following the car has been altered to adapt foam tires, by removing the inner sleeves.
So I couldn´t use them. Never really liked a buggy on foams

How did these cars handle compared to the tub chassis versions? I would think that they were definitely a little lighter, correct? What about the durability of the chassis itself? For example, a nose dig off of a jump... how would the front end hold up compared to that of the tub chassis?
Any information would be nice as I might have an in for snagging a graphite chassis. Thanks!

Ugh, I hope You´ve found the answer to Your question by one of the many experienced drivers in here.
I´m an absolute AE newbie, and can´t tell the tail from the nose on these

you won't snap the nose if you take a digger, thats for sure. infact you are more likely to bend the nose tubes on a tub car.
the graphite is very tough. the worst that will happen, over time, is the nose will start to split or de-laminate. it is quite a bit lighter, but with todays lipos it doesn't much matter anymore. now we are trying to add weight.

I tryed the both chassis lastyear.
In my opinion the alu was way better than the carbon.
Wy, more stable and take the jumps very good.
