Found my RC10 in the attic

While helping my parents move out of the house I grew up in I found my RC10! I've been drooling over a perfect early RC10 my local hobby shop has on display for some time- the $350 price tag has kept it in his hands.
She is in pretty rough shape- electronics canabalized, missing a ton of parts, tranny shot but I am excited to try and drive her again! I am starting to go through the board and read-up and find sources for the needed items- what a great resource this board is! I'm glad to see so many other with affection for this car.
I'm pretty sure my car is an '88 or '89, can't remember for certian when I got her.

post up some pics and some of the elite members here on the site should have no problem helping you out in the proper id as far as what you have and be able to point you in the right direction. ive been in this hobby for over 25 years and been tinkering with rc10 buggies and trucks for about the same time and i still manage to learn something here everyday. there are tons of pics and threads and posts of various rc10 buggies...even pics of some of the very first ones made by hand by the associated gods themselves. enjoy the site and look forward to seeing what you got and seeing you get it back to running shape.

So the tranny is shot (dang homophobes)- the idler gears have more teeth missing than a character in deliverance. I was able to find a set of black idlers for 11 bucks delivered. Next thing I need to find is shocks. I'm open to anything at this point, price is going to be the decision point. Next tough thing I am expecting is to find the servo mounting blocks and antenae tube mount. My local hobby shop has a Futaba "sport" radio in a bucket of old radios, I am hoping it works as this is what controlled this car toward the (first) end of its life. I am alos looking for a set of bearings to replace the well worn bushings- where can I find a list of the bearings that came in the upgrade kit? (or where can I find a cheap upgrade kit?)
My hope is to build a durable driver I can bash in the backyard. The car is very sentimental and most likely responsible for many things about me today. I was 13 when I got this thing and it was a world apart from the Tamyia Frog I had at the time.

check avidrc for bearings, steel ones at $1.00 each. best bargain, and great bearings.
shocks, you can pick up used or new on ebay. that car should have 1.32" rear shocks, and .71" or .56" front shocks. gold or hard anodized, bottom loading, or top loading. They are also still available hard anodized new from places like tower hobbies(.56 and 1.32)
as for servo mounts, should be able to find something at tower hobbies. something like this should work:

easy method for antenna from custom works:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNTD2&P=7
etc, etc, etc....keep diggin for info as you need it, plenty of info here and cruising ebay and hobby site.
good luck!

I checked the Avid site- which bearing kit is appropriate for my car? Am If I am going to have to pick them out individually is there a list of all of the bearings in the kit that was made for this car?
