Ok guys trying to decide whether or not to do a losi gas truck build.
And on top of that which one truck to build..
Gtx or Nxt.. I know that they share alot of the same parts, but still need a direction to go in.
They both fall in my favorite era, 96-98.... hence my seriously modded xx collection!
Im leaning twords the gtx because it had the graphite plus option. ..

so having that said which one do you guys like or have had experience building.

And ill even throw in a wild card, just for fun... Xx4 rally weapon?

My vote is in on the NXT Greg. I raced one back then when the track I raced at had more gas truck than pretty much any other class. It was me, one other guy with an GTX, and liek 8+GTs... If you are going to run it, stock up on rear towers, I went through like three of them in only three months of racing. Also I never cared for the "tire" in the back of the GTX body...

My understanding is the NXT was the "pro" version of the GTX. Graphite parts and any improvements that was needed. I've been wrong before though...

The NXT and GTX are pretty close to the same.
The differences are Shock Towers, Clutch, Rear Hubs and Dual Disk Slipper. The reason the NXT is not called the GTX CR is because the GTX was only sold through Horizon and NXT was used when they wanted to sell them on their own.

I voted for the Rally Weapon too.... sorry

Just never had any interest in the 'gas' trucks (apart from a brief flirtation with a Nitro10) ..... I think running a UK BRCA National meeting for them many-many years ago put me off - the buzzing in my ears didn't stop for days!

Sorry man, I voted for the Weapon as well.
I really hate gas trucks. I actually have a GTX I need to work on. I really only bought it for pictures to place on vintagelosi.com. I know, stupid way to waste money. But nobody on here ever does a GTX or NXT. So I change my mind and say, go for the NXT. I need someones pictures of that one as well.

Well guys, Ive decided to do a GTX PRO Graphite to add to the good ol' collection.

I have never have liked anything stock  so here comes a boat load of aftermarket parts.

I'm trying to keep this build like my other losi builds, late 90's... super RAD like.., this truck will fit the collection perfectly!

I think Neon orange will be the color of choice on this build.

BAM! the first shipment of parts arrived

So was the nxt based on the XX platform? Those parts look very much like LXT items....

Good haul of parts to start with though, good work.

BTW, I might be starting a Street Weapon build soon, so that will ease the pressure a little ;-)

That *appears* to be the fugly body with the spare.... I ordered one from Blue Groove that DID NOT have the spare; yet it was advertized as a GTX body.....

Share a part # so I can troll around and see if there's any about???

Thanks!!
