My name is Brett and I have a RC10 problem

It started only a month ago with a box Sanwa XL transmitter similar to what I used as a boy. The transmitter doesn't work; and in fact, it rattles; reminding me i'm not the only one with a few screws loose. What started off as a simple adventure for a nice RC10 book shelf queen has evolved into a full on quest of East Edigner epicosity. But like a Lepricon, the Edinger still eludes me.
"The First 25 Years..." has been like a road map to me; providing me the wisdom to see the difference behind the forest of abandoned craigslist treasures and ebay Frankenstein chassis. Yet still only amateur, my powers are growing. And in the process I have adopted a few close relatives to the Edinger. One more recently has shown itself to be more unique than previously thought. An early CE with TQ tires, 4-hole front shock tower and original bottom loaded shocks exposed to me tonight its tainted double stamped A'ness. Interesting. I've read about the double stamped AB chassis, but not the AA chassis. It's also worth noting, the early pre CE A stamp seemed to be a slighly narrower lined A stamp than the CE A stamp. Looking at another close friend, the Cadillac, the A stamp has very thin lines again vs the CE stamp which looks to be a fat footed A stamp. Can someone confirm this on their A pre CE vs A post CE. Also, notice the small piece of aluminum donut in the motor mesh slot. Apparently, it's been there since day one. Please dont mind the dirt. I'm still cleaning my rugrats. There is more interesting stuff I hope to share soon. Thank you all.
