the presentation of the metal parts attracted me the most

Just want to share my experience on this car.

As I said I was truly amazed with the presentation of the metal parts and happy the way it was laid on the Styrofoam.

But the plastic parts were a bit odd as the residue of the plastic were everywhere (refer to the attachment).


throughout the checking of loose parts, I found out that one of the shock was crooked. The shaft was rubbing the body shaft when you push down. When I rolled it on the flat surface it rolled like a jumping frog ( refer to the attachment).


I have E-mailed and attached the photos to RC4WD management if these matters were normal to their products.

Though the plastic residue were not affecting the form/function of the plastic parts, but somehow, the way its presented I felt it's not of its finest quality, is this the value of the money I paid for?

My biggest concern was in the shocks as I don't want to install a brand new but defective one

The shock on the tf2 are junk they work but they are rough . The threads on the end caps are small and crosthread easily .the shocks are springie they don't damper well you can try putting shock,oil in , fill about half way. I did this to mine and help a bit
Given all the little problems with the tf2 I feal your pain but the tins is cool and fun to drive.could there have been better qc yes. But that would have been another 100 bucks

I could not agree more about the shocks

RC4WD support team's were accomodative, as I got their positive respond on my e-mailed

About the shock, is that rear or front? Looks like rear. Just to make sure.

Now waiting for the shock to arrive. I will build and run this baby out of the box as other claims this one is competitive already and no need to upgrade. You have to experience it to believe it.

It took about 2 week for them to send me a rear shock mount . You do need up grades, drive shafts, front axles. Universals . I don't know the length of the screw but you might won't to though bolt the leaf spring to the axles or get the ubolts. I striped one of mine

I asked for one pc they gave me two pcs

Now I can continue this project again

It´s a cool chassis and tranny setup, all I require to buy it, is a 1:10 inline 6 cummins diesel.
