First let me say that if the seller of this item is on this site...sorry.

Restored Optimas are cool, so are NIP parts for said optima, but $600 cool?

A nicely restored Optima sells for $150-ish...maybe up to $200 for really nice examples on a good day. Does he include $400 worth of parts? Not in my books. The bumper is hard-to-find in new condition, that alone might be worth $50. The Litesink might sell for $30. Sideguards & motor guard are also available as repros from pargu2000, $25 to $35 each. The rest are just replacement parts. He doesn't even include a body with the listing.

I think he's smoking crack if he thinks he'll get more than $250 for that. He may well have paid that much if he bought all those items NIP, but then that would've just been stupid.

EDIT: I think even a never-built NIB Optima kit might be fortunate to sell for $600...but an assembled one? No way.

There are better deals to be had out there.
I just picked up, off of Craigslist, somebody's collection that included 2 RC10s and 2 Optimas and a Javelin and a whole spare parts/motors stash for 250.00.
If you are looking, keep looking.

That's local to me and I've been watching it a long time. He's really out of touch with reality. The fact that he keeps listing it with no takers tells me he's one of those, " Don't try to lowball me, I know what I have here" guys.
