This is a product of having too many parts sitting around.

I decided to eliminate 2 c-cells of lenghth from an old tub.
I measured off of a stealth trans. hole bracket that I had laying around. Originally planned on giving this to my 5 year-old (at the time) son. He'll be 11 in December.
The welding was done by a friend at a custom machine shop. My background is in collision repair so the re-bending was a chore but with patience, it wasn't too bad.

What you see is a mock up as it went in to storage while we built a house on an acreage and decided to have another child.

This reminds me of something I just discovered the other day. Some of you Euro guys may be familiar - the "chunk" conversion for the B4... Turns a b4 into a mid-motor-mini-monster. 1/16/1/18 conversion..looked kind of cool to me.

My body plans are rough right now. I've been working with an old turbo mirage and have a few new ones from Mr. Lexan. His stuff is top notch. Some of the newer foreward canopy B4 bodies might work too. I also started cutting a B4 chassis to do the same thing with it.

As for why: At the time my son was 5 and decided to build him a "mini". I had a nitro GT body cut to fit with truck wheels narrowed( cut the inside mount channel to leave just the inner lip) and dmounted buggy rear tires on front and rear. We moved and things got boxed. He's close to 11 and races with me now so I reclaimed the project and un-earthed it to finish. Also to answer why....too many parts laying around and free time to think.

I also want to resore my RC10 that I raced in the early 90's. Some of the pieces are on this mock up. Good thing for ebay.

Bottom side photo. This was a chassis I got from a bulk purchase. It had some odd holes drilled which made it a good candidate for a odd project.

Si who runs Phat bodies also races at my club and we have a few Chunks running in our micro class, pretty much as fast as the 4wds! Si has also done similar to a Schumacher sedan to make a 4wd, but it's still in development.

I like the look of that chassis! I realised last week that the narrow front arm version of the RC10 is pretty much the right width for our micro class (the rear is too wide only due to the standard wheel's offset) which got me wondering how to modify an RC10 to have the right wheelbase to fit - your chassis would be perfect!

That is quite a product. Lots of mods to stock parts. Are the available in the states?

I'll ask him - I know he supplies 'The Toyz' with bodyshells so I'm sure something could be arranged!

possibly, I'll try that if the wheels off my Losi mini8 don't work - as they have virtually no offset
