Greetings, I am new to the forum and RC's in general. I picked up an old RC 10 Team Associated gold pan buggy at a yard sell. It is in pretty rough shape but I bought a cheap radio shack 2000Hm(?) battery and the car ran pretty good. It has an unmarked motor, Novak ESC and Futaba 2ch (the kind with the up/down and left/right controls) radio and receiver, Well I was running it outside on a drizzly day and ran it through some sand and gravel and it gunked up the steering so silly me thought "well surely I can just give it a quick spray with the hose and clean it off". After the cleaning the ESC started to make a crackling noise and the red light flickered on and of and then went out, it blinked on a few times when I tapped it. I took every thing apart and let it dry out but it was a no go. Any how I bought a Heng Lang Supersport 3ch 10 model controller and it also came with the receiver and a HL ESC s-06 320 A. From what I have read It depends on the ESC as to what type of motor you can get, I am not sure about the current motor I have but it was pretty slow so I thought I would upgrade. So if anyone knows what the fastest motor that ESC could handle your comments and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tex

Thanks for the reply but to clear things up when you say 15t or higher you mean slower correct? The lower the number the faster it is right? Thanks.

Ok, so tonight I decided to try out my controller. How ever when I hook it to the motor it automatically runs. I checked the controller and the throttle trim is at zero. When the transmitter is on there is a red light on the ESC but when I turn the transmitter off the red light goes out and there is a blinking green light. I am pretty sure every thing is hooked up right?
