My Dirt Thrashers!

At last I finished my Dirt Thrashers.
The white one is my shelf queen while the black one is a runner fitted with 2.2 wheels & Pro Line rubber. A 12t brushless combo for a bit of go. Hardned touring car out drives, Touring car gear set, Alloy motor mount & a new alloy center prop shaft. I just love these Mantra chassis. So tough & not a bad car to drive.

very nice. i haft a soft spot in my heart for dirt thrashers, it was the first car i bought after being out of rc for 17 years.
mine needs a little help, i ran a 9t ezrun in it and it's rattled itself apart. everything is so loose, someday i'll get around to fixing it up.

Cool models!
What batteries do you use in the runner?
I have trouble finding LiPo's that fit the TA-02 chassis.
I have a minty Blazing Star that I have been debating whether or not to sell - it's uber cool, but, I just don't use it (that's why it's minty...).

Orion makes 3500mah rounded "rocket packs".
They fit pretty well, a little tight.

Dirt Trasher etc. is TA01 based. If the batteries really are a problem, you can always install the FRP chassis set.

You can try running a shorty pack. Even with the FRP chassis, you'll have some problems fitting a standard lipo. I have a TA02 that I converted to a Top Force with the FRP chassis and J-parts (which include the battery mounts), and I find that none of my lipo packs can fit (although my old NiMH's can fit no problem, of course).
