So Harry, were you able to get through hurricane sandy ok. From my understanding New Jersey was hit really hard. Hope all is well
We got really lucky here. Worst thing that happened was the power went out around mdnight on Monday and came back on late Tuesday morning. That and the river over flowed behind me. The road behind me was flooded and there was noway to tell where the land ended and the river started. Luckily, my property seems to be the high point of my block. Everybody behind and on both sides of my had there lawn under water, but mine was ok. Very lucky, especially after seeing what happened all around us on the news. Some serious damage!
As for the SRT, I'm not really sure what to do. There's a guy on another forum that bought 3 vintage cars from me within the last week and he's wanting a price on the SRT as well. Looks like there's a line forming.
Good to hear you are ok Harry, If you are considering selling your SRT make me an offer. I'm sure we can come to an accord on a price that makes us both happy
just remember what you were thinkin after you gave up the parts to your first trx3 .
As for a line...I'm not in it. I'm on the side of not giving it up. Sam knows where it will get him in the long run when he sees us all talkin SRT and he no longer has his to admire .

I just saw the pics of that car the other day when looking for pics to show EMaxx2.0. That thing was spotless and all original white parts. Not a mark anywhere. Yeah, I still remember.
But in hindsight, it would probably still be sitting in the same box if I had it today. The TCP I have now is no beauty queen, but at least I don't feel bad running the snot out of it. Actually, I think I'll load it up this morning and put some more laps in with it. Maybe I can get someone to operate the camera and post some vids of it in action.
Hey guys been awhile since I been on the forum. I bought the all white SRT off Ebay last week.
And I was missing a few white parts. I took the white battery bar and stub axles off my TCP(they were in mint condition). I replace the transmission and...

Hey guys. Busy week. Anyways I was at the hobbyshop and found 1955r . What's confusing is they are the same as the 2555 they were selling. Maybe traxxas has some rare updated 1955r in white. Also no luck with the steering spindle in white. Also...
I only have a few RCCA ads and a couple articles in RC Model Cars to go on, but JG made an RC10-based racing truck in the early 90s. It looked to have a custom wide suspension arm setup, the old wide-offset wheels, extra long front shocks, and...

That's the one :) I tried to search but I guess JG is too short to find.
Doesn't surprise me if they didn't last long; it must have cost a ton to build with all those aftermarket parts, even with deals cut with suppliers.
im on a hunt for a rc i once wanted. double decker chassis, made out of that white fiberglass stuff you see on the rc500.
stadium truck style, long a arms, transmission had a circle on it, kida bulky looking i think.
any one got pics of this, or am...

The SRT was the last competition vehicle put out by Traxxas, unless you want to count the Revo and Slash

I should be racing my TRX1 after Christmas, I just need to buy a set of tires and get this box of parts put on the car. It should be really interesting, we have enough guys at our track that want to run a vintage class. It would be more fun than...
I've been looking for a Traxxas SRT for a while now, and I finally found one NIB on Craigslist for $150! The box was beat to Hell, but the parts were still bagged and everything was there. I forgot how much I hate e-clips until I put this thing...

Yeah, one of my many character flaws is my inability to be completely content with what I have. I was, and still am, excited to find this SRT. I'm just starting to wonder if letting it sit on a shelf for the foreseeable future is the best use of its...
