Are you buying all of this stuff Farmer, or are some of these being handed to you by these guys who just aren't interested in doing anything with them? You find SO much stuff it seems you must be a walking wallet. Even if you do not have to give much for them, they would add up for me. Congrats on another find.
well ill let you in on some way that i come about my finds
i cant tell you all my secrets but ill share a few
1.... you can not and i repeat can not leave any stone unturned
if you really have the passion to find cars they are out there, think of when you raced! the people that raced with you .im not talking about your friends, but in general the type of people that raced at the track
for example at the track i currently race at i would say about 50% work in the oil related field, auto mechanics and are into nascar, so that gives me a starting point of the target person that ill look for in my
daily life, to where if i happened to cross there path i strike up a conversation! and eventually work my way around to hobbys and most of the time they have ither raced still race or no someone that has, and there you go there are your leads, you have to think that most males love cars so there is a some inbreed passion to fullfill there urges ithere it be cars,plane ,trains,boats etc etc
when you have a lead follow it,, it can branch off to a mother load
2..... garage sales/yard sales/etc etcetc
even if they dont have nothing but lawn furniture and baby cloths, you need to ask
i can think of at least 3 yard sales that had cr@p but when i ask ,would you happen to have any old rc cars/model cars/diecast you would be surprised how many mom's/girlfriends etc etc say well you know my son has this car are my husband has this or my ex left this when he left me for that blond b!tch, it has happened ,and out of the wood work they come, you have to be able to open your mouth and ask

as far as a walking wallet goes ya i do spend some cash sometimes,but not like you are thinking! remember im married

but to be honest i would say about 80% of my collection has came from trading
im into alot of stuff from diecast/slot cars/rc planes/bass fishing/airsoft/air brushing/fire arms/vespa scooters/porsche/disc golf etc etc
trading is by far the most succesfull for me
most people are more willing to do a trade
well from what i can tell im not a schuey guy but its a pro cat do to the 7 batt slots on the chassis
its missing a few parts and the rear shock tower is cracked! missing the og body and wing gear cover
but it was a cool car so i wheeled and dealed
and now it has a new home
i hope that this helps some of you in your quest for finding cars, but you have to do your homework
