Very nice, original ride! Looks good enough to be a shelf queen/display piece, as is.

These are a couple bodies I had painted for me that need trimming yet.

Biggest problems/pains in the butt with the builds and being a relative beginner - some stripped threads, getting snap rings out of outdrives (the ones in the shocks I just rip out and use new ones bought from Mcmaster), screwing ball cups on threaded rods. I'm sure I'll think of some more.

Well, for being a "beginner", you've put together some nice machines. I like the original car's look, which is why I'd make it a shelf queen, but I'd take the one you covered the holes on, and do a little customizing.
People get into these for different reasons, and I think the main attraction is they're the closest thing to kits as you can find nowdays. Besides, hunting ebay is almost a hobby in itself.
Nice job.

Nice buggies! My childhood rc10 doesn't look nearly that good due to the angled curbs in my parents' neighborhood... perfect concrete ramps!

Same here - love that shell!
For a 'beginner' you have put together some fine looking cars!

Thanks guys. I had 2 different painters on them and asked them to base them on the paint schemes from a couple old TCR slotless cars I always liked. Hard to pick up in the pic but the white circles have a number in them. I think it would have been better if he used the orange or black for the number to get a better contrast.
