RC Rockcrawling

I've been letting one of my neighbors drive some of my RC cars and hes interested in getting into the hobby. He traded some guy on Craiglist for a really nice rockcralwer. Its an Axail AX10 with a JR 8800T servo, Novak 18.5T brushless motor and locking diffs. He only traded because it was a good deal. We have tried to tade it off for something faster, but havent had much luck so he wants to try to run it.

The only thing it needs is an ESC. I've been running Hobbywing 45 and 60 amps in my buggys, but will those work ok for a rockcralwer?

I just dont have a clue about rockcrawling, so I dont wanna point him in the wrong direction.

I would suggest this one from Novak. It is a perfect match for that 18.5 motor you have now. For crawling you need something that will have a good drag brake and it needs to be sensored.
