I just got in a trade a mint never ran blackfoot from 1987 and have been working on getting it built to become a "shelf queen". I have a few questions...first is how does the sunroof and rear window mount up? It came with a bag full of screws and parts mixed toegether that i am trying to build with via a blurry printed out manual so i am measuring the screws by whats on the page. I love this thing and want it to be all correct so i thought i'd ask the pro's.

Congrats!

Blackfoot's are cool...sorta the grandfather of most modern R/C trucks.

I'm amazed at how many hop ups are still available. (and there's all sorts of new stuff that's out)

There's been a few really sweet examples popping up on here lately! :D

I agree totally! ^^^^^^There are some sweet rig's on here. Do a search on here when you get a chance. You will be glad you did. Also, would love to see some more pictures once you get it the way you want it. Heck even in progress pictures are cool!

Good luck!

Finished up a few little things on the body and now should be ready for decals.

I do have a question though.....I seem to be missing the lower servo mount near the front bumper area. Can somebody maybe post a pic of what it looks like as the directions are pretty vague.

The back window and sunroof glue into the body. The blackfoot used a servo saver mounted straight to the servo. The Monster beetle came with a metal piece that bolts to the front suspension uprights and pushes on the top of the servo saver to keep it from flexing

That brace never came with the blackfoot, only the monster beetle and the mudblaster

I seem to not have the lower brace shown in this pic......

The lower servo mounts in the cross brace that isn't there.
You put the cross members in when you assemble the chassis, so someone likely just forgot that part. It should be A8.

Just to add, the brace is made from the red plastic. I'm sure to have a few spares in my blackfoot box

Actually, the Marui Big Bear would be a more accurate grandfather, released 2 years before the Blackfoot. 8)

The Big Bear is more like your elderly bachelor uncle, who never fathered any offspring.
