Wild Willy LWB and Blackfoot

I received these two in the mail yesterday.
The Willy was built with great care and never ran - The metallic blue theme is discussable but the execution is top notch. 14 Years ago, I took over (friendly) my cousins Wild willy, which was well kept and in good condition. Due to house sale I had to part with it, so I gave it to a younger mate and told him what a treassure it was. He had it on his shelf for 1/2 year and consulted me about moving it on, if I was okay with that. I wasn´t keen on it, but hence the lack of space and my remote location, I told him that it was okay.
Missed it ever since :-) This is my 4th Willy and the ONE - filling the gap.

The Blackfoot is built with attention to detail and perfomance - lights, soundmodule and bearings.
I charged the batteries and fired up the beast - It moved!!! and made a funny sound, which really didn´t make me think of an engine, diesel nor petrol. More like an angry drummer with cottonball sticks.

Both look great. I happen to like the blue on the wild willy, its different. I painted my ww2 metallic blue also. How did they light up the blackfoot grill?

The first release had a few parts that gave it a shorter wheelbase. Then later tamiya revised the design to a longer wheelbase. My ww1 runner is a Long Wheel Base version and its super wheelie happy. Almost to the point of undrivability. I would imagine the SWB would be worse.
