Original YZ10 Spur Gear Questions

Gents,
I have been running the snot out of my old dogfighter now that she is all lipo'd and brushless. It's like a dream come true.

However it is only a matter of time before it takes a hard hit I shred a spur gear. Is this the correct part number for a 48 pitch replacement: ZC-630? Any sources?
Also, I see some yz10's that look like they have normal spur gears screwed to an adapter or something; anybody know what i am referring to that can shed a little light on how that is accomplished?
Wish I could post some pics but it will not upload; maybe I need to make them smaller or something???
Thanks.
Tom

Can't help on the part number question, but there are a few manufacturers of spur adapters for the yokomo cars. Nothing is still being made, but you can find them on ebay and such. You have to just keep your eyes open for them. They aren't extremely common so they go for decent prices, ie, not retail or dirt cheap.
you could also get a yokomo slipper as well, fitted a standard spur gear and used stealth slipper parts. Pretty tough to find, but also an option.

ZC-630 is the 81T main gear & 1st front drive pulley as described in a YZ-10 parts catalog

That's great info, where can I find a copy of that parts catalog so I don't need to keep asking this type of question?

I use Kimbrough spurs on my yz10 94 and 95...seem like a good fit to me. Especially with the slipper system.
You can find them on eBay in a variety of sizes

Spur gears for the TCS are not the problem it's finding all the parts to the TCS if you aren't already running one.

thanks, mine is an old 1987 version with out the slipper. Looking to upgrade though.....do you know who made the adapter plates for the older yz10's that allows them to carry the spurs you are talking about?

I wonder if the yr4 series used something similar..
If you want the old spur I think I've got one I ain't using....all my Yz cars have the TCS installed...I'd need to send you a pic to be sure

That part is from Robinson Racing and includes a one-way bearing with the gear adapter. Very nice must have part if you cannot add the TCS slipper.
