Scorpion De Luxe

I've always liked the Scorpion alot. There is something very striking about it's design and the way it was promoted back in the day. I felt like trying to create a "future proof" version with a lot of the original car's spirit kept intact. So, I've kept it Kyosho or DIY; the gear box is built to accomodate the Ultima series gears but the approach is Scorpion style with the diff hanging low down behind the rear chassi-member. There are a few other DIY parts too, maybe you can spot them.
The car is far from finished as you can see, but I'll try to post updates whenever something is achieved. The Radio Tray you see below for instance, is meant to be a pattern -for a mould -for a carbon fibre finished item.
Thanks for looking

Indeed, let's see some more pictures without the artistic lighting.

Looks good, but I can't really see much in detail.

Thank you Raman,
Well, I
had to have a set of carbon rails for this car and felt it could be intriguing to see if I could figure out how to make them. It took a good while, but I figured it out it in the end. They are made from 200g/square metre bi-directional weave. Basically the same stuff as you get in most chassi parts. The good thing about this is that a strong beam is achieved that woun't split and shatter at pick-up points etc. like mono-directional fibres would.

Thank you,
I meassured the C-C of the Ultima tranny axle positions. Then I made the end plates from 2mm Carbon Fibre sheet. The blue core section is made from 10 (I think) 1,7mm thick Glass Fibre sheets cut to the exact same shape and then laminated together in a fixture. All these layers make up the right width between the end plates. Some finishing was required after that.
Basically I got fed up with the original transmission lacking strength for powerful motors and the lack of a ball diff. With Ultima standard gears the options are endless I figured. But this new thing had to resemble the original layout, otherwise it would just feel plain wrong. It's a balance, but this is the way I like my tuned versions of classics.

That's so sweet it makes mother nature piss her pantsuit.
That is incredibly cool. How did you bend the the frame rails like that? I've been trying to figure out how to bend carbon fiber.
