My name is James and in in Houston Texas. I'm 31 now. I bought my World's Car in 1994. I scrimped and saved to pay for it and it was the last thing my father and I ever did together. I raced it for about a year and then it went into a box for the next 17 years.
I have a friend who is really into RC and its got me wanting to get my buggy running again. I never thought it was worth keeping until I did some research on it. I'm running truck tires, the original body, Green Machine 2 motor, Rooster ESC, and a Dynamite micro pro receiver. Ala 1994. My plans are to update the electronics for more modern stuff. The buggy is in near mint condition and means a lot to me. It got me into cars at a young age. I'm a total gear head now. I'll have some pics up soon.

From a fellow native Houstonian, welcome to the addiction. I'm sure you'll find lots of great info here. Post some pics when you can.

Welcome to the forum. I'm somewhat new here as well, and I can tell you that this is the place to learn. My dad and I also built mine back in 1992. Finally decided to take it out of the box and tune it back up. Good to have you.

Loads of great RC10 Worlds on this forum, actually it is the best resource for vintage RC. A recent restoration: http://goo.gl/94tPp

Good luck in restoring yours!
