Brushless motor, reverse ?

Okay just hooked up my castle 4600KV and Sidewinder 2 in my vintage RC10 the motor runs in reverse, when i pull the trottle so I initially just reversed the channel on the Flysky controller but also read that you can just switch two of the motor wires. I put the channel back to normal and did this but I swear the motor runs faster backward so I did the wire switch back to the normal position and reversed the channel. I now swear it goes faster forward than in reverse. Is reversing the channel a bad thing to do instead of switcing the wires?
Regards,
Ren

It doesn't really matter but depending on your ESC settings, that will determine the speed in either forward or reverse.
And with a sensorless motor like the Castle, you can swap any 2 of the 3 motor wires to make it go forward when your ESC is set to normal.

I had to do this since I had the same situation with a recent 1/8 scale acquistion

Made for a night and day difference.

Had this happen with a Castle as well. Just switched wires and no problems, although since the wires are colored, it just looks like its wired wrong now.

What everyone else already said. The ESC and sometimes motor instructions almost always say to switch 2 wires to reverse motor direction.
