Dual Brushless Clodbuster from Goldrush

Goldrush and I did a trade. He sent me a great starting point for a Clodbuster basher. I needed to source some of the electronics and some extra parts, but I finally have it together.
I haven't gotten a nice pretty body for it yet, that'll come in time. For now I'm using my beater bodies from my old Clod that I had a long time ago.
This beast sits at 16.5" gearbox to gearbox. 14" wheel base. 2" ground clearance below the gear boxes. It also tips the scales at 12.5 pounds.
I put a USA1 tire in between the tires for size reference
Nice wide stance
The dual brushless trackstar/toro systems 60amp esc with 3300KV brushless motors each with a 5500 2S lipo. I was able to mount the batteries low enough in the chassis. These combos are surprisingly powerful, given they're 380 motors in 540 finned cans. They can flip the truck onto its roof from a standing start.
So I built an extended arm and mounted the servo myself. Basic work but it does the job. (aside from the servo being under powered)
And which beater body to use? The one above or this one...hmmm. Probably going to stick with the TXT body above.

does it have adjustable motor mounts? if not get them and go up to a 16 tooth pinions, you'll gain some nice top end and it shouldn't flip over from a stand still. my dual bl clod uses 2 4000kv 540 hobbywing motors, with the 16t pinions it's a real nice ride.
you also don't need 2 batteries, use a y harness ans you'll save some weight and still have the same power.

I don't have adjustable motor mounts installed but I do have them. I'm going to run her a bit and see how I like this setup.
I know I can go with 1 battery but I was looking at drive time. I have 2 exact same batteries so I went that route. The motors can flip the truck onto its roof from a standing start so I figured weight wasn't an issue, although if I went up in pinions obviously that will change.

it's you, not only have they taken your thumbs they have also taken your ability to view pics.
evil world.
back ot, i never timed my runs but with a single 5000mah 2s pack it never seemed too short.
i did buy a couple of 3s packs for it but never got the courage to try it, it was too fast already.
you're in ct, you should join us for this years vonats, quite a few modded clods will be there this year after we all loved how scott's (melvinsarmy) powers chassis clod ran.

I've come down to the Vonats to "hang out" a couple times, but never raced. I have a JRX-Pro ready to go and this. The Vonats usually fall on my oldest son's birthday and it's always a crazy weekend. But hopefully this year can be different.

Are there images there seriously?? I don't see them, but I can see everything else on the board.

I'll have to try from home or on a different device I guess.

They pulled up on my ipod touch. Weird!

I seriously thought everyone was messing with me because I've never had this problem on my work computer. Everything else pulls up fine. That thing is a BEAST! Can't wait for video.

You got that right, Very nice set up you have there. If only there was more time in the day. My clod is closer to being back together.
Snow runs are always great.
