Rc10 long arm conversion

Hello all,
As many of you know, I have a short- arm Rc10. I have been thinking about partially or fully converting the front suspension over to CE specs for easier parts replacement. I know I want the arms and steering blocks, and I know I need the axles and links. My question is, if I replace those parts but keep the original caster blocks, shocks, and shock tower, will the suspension work properly, or do I need to update everything? Thanks.

No expert here but I just replaced my short arms with OEM long arms while keeping the OEM short shock tower and shocks. Everything's fit fine with no additional parts and while I have only run it on asphalt it seems to have a slight more grip on the front but this may be due to going to 20* caster blocks (much easier and cheaper then the OEM 15* units).
Cheers,
Jim

yes, you will have no problems. You could take the car and simply add the arms and a longer tie rod and everything would be fine.

Thanks. I just want to replace the easily broken parts first.

I've got the arms, axles, and steering blocks, but I can't find Associated part 6930, the lower shock mount screws. Does anyone know where I can get a substitute?

just use a regular 4-40 screw that's long enough.

In the manual it shows a partially threaded screw. That's not needed?

The Rc10 Championship Edition and all later models had .71 shocks up front correct?
