I have what looks to be a homemade ESC on a RC10 I just got for our RCSoup project. I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on it?

I have a buddy who makes his own small ESC's for robotics projects and such.
Does it work? How much resolution does it get?
I'd keep it though, wether you use it to drive the truck, or not, it'd be a nifty thing to have around as more of a "collectible", you know what I mean?

That's very cool! I've been wanting to build a simple ESC for a while now. I see diodes on the sides, resisters, the things with heat sinks are most likely mosfets, and trimmer capacitors on top. If you want to try it out, make sure you clean it up first. You may want to unscrew the heatsinks to make sure the contact between it and the fets is clean so you don't burn anything up.
