Re: Blackfoot collection..
I love it! The Blackfoot single-handedly owned the monster truck market before Traxxas took over the RC planet.
Great bashers, and parts were EVERYWHERE! Oh, and they started the racing truck craze... I love me some Tamiya Blackfoot.

Re: Blackfoot collection..
So that's 5? Oh good, I only have 3... guess my problem isn't as bad as I thought.
I'm jealous of those wheels. I have one set of Monster Beetle gold wheels, and all the rest are those silly yellow plastic ones. Good for nostalgia, I guess, but just as ugly as they were in 1987.

Re: Blackfoot collection..
There's more of them around.. Those wheels are my weakness. All the blackfoots i think have one of those wheels each just not yet installed. I'll look for the pics.markbt73 wrote:So that's 5? Oh good, I only have 3... guess my problem isn't as bad as I thought.

So jealous, I think during this deployment, I'm gonna prowl the net in search of an old Blackfoot. Was my first true RC.

Re: Blackfoot collection..
nice trucks....im a big fan of the blackfoot and super blackfoot(bush devil too)..i really like how you can mix parts and they have the same body mounts.. its really great that you can still get the lexan body for the blackfoot .they even have the dimples in the lexan to drill the holes in the stock spot (love stuff like that). i had 3 king blackfoots and sold them, very nice trucks but they had alot of off beat parts that were not interchangeable with my collection of superblackfoot/blackfoot parts and bodies. growing up most people had grasshopper/hornet or frog/brat if they wanted a buggy. lunchbox/midnight pumpkin or blackfoot/monsterbeetle if they wanted a truck..the frog/brat or blackfoot/monsterbeetle just seemed like more of the racers choice and the rcs to own.. in fact if you raced trucks the blackfoot was thee truck to own (untill they made rc10 truck conversions and jrxts).. people were spending over $500 on race blackfoots.. i remember my dad spent alot of $$ on my frog.. i got the frog cause i saw my cousin driving his and had to have one.. later on my uncles friend got a blackfoot and seeing it full of mud made me really want one. we got a lexan blackfoot body, parma body mount kit and some brat wheels and tires and made are own blackfoot.. ive owned a bunch of frogs/brats/monsterbeetles/blackfoots/. all different set ups from blackfoots with frog inner spring front shocks (looks like no shocks) to monster beetles with frog transmissions running the biggest pinion you can and a mod motor making it so fast i hit a bump in the road at top speed and totaled it.. sorry for the long rant i just really like talking about blackfoots and the other tamiyas like them
