Doesn't look right with those wheels and tires. Needs the old school ones like the clods or juggs

aahhh that chassis bothers me.. why not all alloy? as for the wheels and tires im a fan cause i bet they can take more of a beating and steer better. i thought this truck with alloy chassis single brushlerss motor set up and 4 shocks instead of 8 would make one of the best bashers of all time.

I just don't get Tamiya some days. They undo all the amazing work they do now and then with pap like this, it really is awful, and a toy in comparison with the TXT1. Give it an alloy ladder frame, and some decent rims, and i can forgive a bit, but this, and the wheelie tractor thingy.........well, they better make amends with a 959 or Egress re re lol.

Well, the good news is that TXT-1 and Juggernaut owners can stop worrying about replacement parts.
I'd have preferred a Juggernaut 3 over a TXT-2, but nobody asked me.

Weren't there rumors of them eventually coming out with a new Clod? Since all they can seemingly produce now is garbage, I actually hope they don't as it will look like this abomination. Wait a second... Maybe this
is the result of all the rumors.

I'd guess that the rumor wasn't started by anyone at Tamiya. I can't remember anything ever leaking out of that company.
As for prices, that's a good question. I know inflation always makes things cost more, but Tamiya prices really do seem to be going up.

So disappointing. Back when the TXT-1 came out I stopped at the LHS (now gone-big surprise!) and they had a demo kit. You know, the one with the big "not for sale" sticker on it? Well, $250.00 later it was sold. I had so much fun building and driving it. Times changed (wife and kid) and I sold it. Now, the kid is big enough to drive, so I was excited to hear Tamiya was coming out with a new one. What a cheap looking vehicle. Plastic all over. The wheels and tires look to be leftover Tonka parts, and the body? Stadium truck on a monster truck? My former neighbor left me 3 original Clod Busters-mostly damaged, but enough to make one runner. I guess I have a winter project now.
