What is the black spur/slipper assembly on Brian Kinwalds worlds winning RC10 in this pic? I noticed quite a few of them were running these.

Still available? Worth it?

Thanks,

Dan

Is it hyperdrive or hydradrive or similar?

Losi Hydradrive, think of it like a fluid damper, torque converter kinda...

it is a Hydradrive, made by losi. its not a direct bolt on, you need a top shaft that is compatible. I think thorp and a few others made them. The hydradrive is a fluid based slipper, correct me if i am wrong but they were used on rough rutted tracks. My buddy still uses one on his Losi XX.

No longer available, but you can still find them on e-bay for a price. They were good in their time, but with brushless setups and lipos your better off to upgrade to a b4.1 slipper setup and go from there.
