so, highwayracer was selling this andy's onroad prototype chassis.

the first night i saw it, it thought it was pretty cool. i sat there for a little while thinking of ways to finsh the car off, then moved on. the next morning i looked at it again. almost immediately i said to myself......... 4wd yoke.

i sent him a pm and asked if he had an old yoke chassis kickin' around that he could lay over the andy's chassis. i wanted to see if this would even be remotely possible. his reply had me smiling. :)

so with a new yoke chassis plate on loan from bscotti to use as a template, here she is to give you an idea.

i then had a thought about having molded towers to match the chassis. so i asked aeiou if there was a chance i could get a set of towers out of one of the andy's truck chassis' he sell (maybe some battery straps too  ). so he sends me this pic.

so, we'll see how this goes..........

i thought about rpm bulkheads after seeing one pop up on ebay. but, i like the look of the magnesium. plus, i'm trying to stay "all andy's" with it, which shouldn't be hard since he only made arms, front hubs, and a body i'll never find.

Well, Jason, this should be interesting. I'll check back in a couple of years.

I know the feeling...I can't seem to find the motivation to paint an Optima body to wrap up my Barney project, yet I'm all gung-ho on starting a new Optima Mid build first. :?

Andy's steringknuckles with metal inserts for the kingpins would fit the project well (They are for the optima but fit the 870C too)
