Resto Project RC 10T & a few questions.

Hello all.
I have been registered on here for a while and lurking before posting. I am in the middle of a resto project of what appears to be a #7035 car with a "A" stamp chassis. The car was purchased off eBay and will be a display & indoor car. Im still waiting on the CVD's to and tie-rods as both were bent from the previous owner.
So I have gotten almost al the way through the resto with the help of a few threads but i hit a wall with tires. I would like to put some newer lower profile street style tires with blacked out rims like these
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPTZ0&P=0 ?
I was looking at putting the Traxxas Anaconda's on as well. But I know they are 2.8" so I wasnt sure if they would fit for the front and rear.
Attached are a few pic's of my re-build so far.
Thanks for any help.
- Jeff

love your truck, the blue looks great. A stamp? from I can find, there hard to come by in black. I'm using pro line street.or road hogs. There low profile, with a car like tread. You can get stock AE 2.2's in black, and they'll glue right on. Marlo.

Awesome I'll check those out.
Ya I when I got the car the chassis was black anodized looks like a factory finish and I jus repainted it. I just tried to smooth out some of the major scrtaches .
The "A" is stamped right below the transmission, I assume that is the chassis type.

Im looking for a few parts if anyone can help me out.
Im missing the front axle nuts. The axles measure 3/16" but cant seem to find the right nut. I ordered some off eBay that were supposedly for the 3/16" axle but they don't fit. This being the smaller of the two options, before buying another set I just wanted to ask.
Measuring the shank of the axle where the bearings ride is 3/16"

Ah - okay I think those are what I bought. Maybe they are just super tight, I was going to ream them out with a drill bit. Getting them in the deep wheel well is a pain with fat fingers.
Thanks

there's no threads in the them, so the first install will go on a little tough.

Thanks for the help.
I have one other question. The car that I bought the seller sent over some batteries as well. They are pretty old (I think) Is there a way to tell if they are still usable?

Nice truck! You might get some life out of the batteries if you cycle them several times. I would suggest buying new batteries. Old NICD batteries will not likely hold a good charge.

Thanks, ya she turned out real well. I finally got around to ordering some decals of eBay.
I figured the batteries would be dead or not worth the effort.
I cant wait to get this thing running again.

Looks good.
Any reason you're running the L/R and R/F tires backwards?
