Well now over here in Afghanistan so looks like I'll be putting a little extra coin towards the RC scene. All I have to do is buy the wifey shiny stuff here and there to keep her happy. I do have a package deal I'm trying to get locked down with some RC10s. But just thinking it's time to start looking at picking up an original Blackfoot, remaking a open trailer like I originally have. Maybe even pick up some goodies I always wanted back in day.

question, are the colored RC10 tubs rare? I'm thinking I'd like to do one.

The neon chassis can be found at a premium on eBay and here in buy/sell! However the are just powder coated and if you have a nice chassis, this is some thing you can get done at home for a good price, it just won't be an original but will look the same!

ps: Keep your eyes open on Remembrance Day (CAN) Veterans Day (US), there will be a chance at a prize for any one that has served or are serving! I know it's a long time from now, just sayin!

Yeah man, round 3. Well for the Army that is. 5 if ya count two Navy deployments. Doing the math, since 2001...that's a lot of time away from the house. I decided against shipping my RC stuff over this deployment. Gonna focus on some education and we are tearing down for the stand down. But thinking about picking up one of those Losi Micro SCT. Just look too dang fun.


Good point about the powdercoating. Hopefully my buddy will get the cash from my wife to hand over to Matt O for his little RC10 collection. Think I'll send a chassis down to my buddy's hot rod shop and tell him to just do whatever.

The other good part is you can actually run the car then without worry. It wouldn't bother me to scratch up a one I had coated near as bad as a high dollar original.

Good luck overthere. I took my rs4 rally last time I deployed. I really wish I had a monster truck or a crawler honestly

Well, my first deployment to Ramadi, Iraq I had a Terminator Dirtoval car, Nitro Rustler, Losi XXXNT AD1 and a FT T4. I restored a Marcbot back to an Emaxx. The nitro stuff dried up since we had issues getting fuel. I built two offroad tracks and a dirtoval.

Second deployment, I just rocked my Microbaja and a Revo I converted back to a Slayer.

I was thinking of bringing my Losi XXXSCT but decided last minute against it.
