hey guys this is a a car i picked up a few months ago and im getting ready to do a semi rebuild
just basically a good clean up and tighten
from what ive gathered its a procat se due to the dark chassis
please correct me if im wrong
i know this is a kyosho body but that is what it came with
ill get a repro

couple of questions
1. what and why is the crash back system that i have read about
2. im needing some front drive shafts do all the models of the 4wds run the same
can there be others used?
3. wing stays and the correct #for the wing that should be with this car

If you cut the zip tie at the front end of the car and install a couple large orings in the same fashion as the zip tie you will see the crash back system. It just allows the front end to fold back if there is an impact.

I'm not too familiar with the 4wd cats so that's about all I can help u with.

That looks like it's a CAT XLS rather than a Procat. It has some nice bits on it too the layshaft looks like MMS/Trinity. I'm can't remember who made the chassis, but it's not a Schumacher item.

Farmer it looks like an XLS Cat. The chassis is definately an after market Procat item (unless the white fibreglass sheet has been dyed or painted black.

To build this car into a Procat SE you'll need a lot of other items if you are to do a descent job of it. However, if you would consider an XLS to be on your want list (and lets face it who wouldn't ) all you'll need is the correct lower chassis plate and a repro CAT bodyset.

In my opinion the XLS is more sought after now days than the Procat. At the very least they fetch higher prices (for your interest).

It´s exactly like this. O-rings are intended from factory and did work, I just used the zip ties when I had no o-rings left.

The chassis really look like aftermarket, but also like graphite not black fibreglass. Did Composite Craft make such chassis?
I also can see an orange frontbelt so should be a Wasp belt.

CAT XLS is what I did run also back in the days, maybe my most succesful 4WD car after the Kyosho Optima. Just good I got a XLS again last year.

The lower chassis is similar to Procat Schumacher no. U288W but not a complete match.

CAT SWB, XL, XLS, Procat and Bosscat, TopCat, Club10, Nitro10, Cougar mkI /mkII uses the same type of drive shafts.

If You wan´t oneway shafts, You can leave out the 2wd buggy´s

is there a part # for the crash back o-rings where are you guys getting yours
or can i just run some rubberbands
also oneways should be the common on the front drive shafts ?
or did the run both

I don't use one ways on the cars I drive. I find that in low grip situations running solid shafts up front give me a more consistent drive.
As for the crash back rings, a solid rubber band (I use a thick red one) works better than the kit supplied junk.

Going the XLS route will be the easiest and most cost effective route as you have almost all you need. Add to that you have some nice chrome rims there you can bet this beast will look ace out on the track.
