Do we already have a thread that lists the differences between the regular 10T and the Team Truck (other than the body)? If not, can anyone please explain? Temple, prob one for you.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that is all I "know", as I have the same brochure.... I was wondering about the differences underneath the body and beyond the wheels and tires. Thanks for the link/pic though Jason.

Also looks like I see a trace of grey shocks.

As in "7001 vs. 7035" right? One difference that'll kill authenticity is the letter stamp on the chassis, LOL

By "regular" 10T you mean what?

7001- teflon shocks, bearings, thin shock towers, three piece wheels (narrow fronts).

7011- gold shocks, bushings, MSC, three piece wheels. Parts eventually transitioned from 7001 type to 7035 type are the towers and arms.

7035- teflon shocks, thick shock towers with additional holes, thicker front and rear arms, front arms have additional shock mount hole, 3º rear arm mounts, graphite trans brace, one piece wheels, 6130 body.

I've been meaning to lay out all the different parts and take some pics...

Temple, are the T2 arms the same ones on the 7035 team truck?

The very last 7011 and 7035 have T2 arms.

Ok, at the risk of shooting my own foot off... here's the real details.

7001- teflon shocks, bearings, dogbone axles, thin shock towers with two shock mounts per side front and rear, three piece wheels (narrow fronts). 15º caster blocks, steel inline axles, 1.5º rear arm mounts and 3º rear hub carriers.

7011- gold shocks, bushings, MSC, three piece wheels, dogbone axles. Parts that eventually transitioned from 7001 type to 7035 type are the towers, front axles and caster blocks and whatever were the current arms. Supplied with 1.5º rear arm mounts and 3º rear hub carriers throughout production.

7035- teflon shocks, bearings, universal joint axles, thick shock towers with additional holes, thicker front and rear arms, the front arms have additional shock mount hole, 3º rear arm mounts with 0º rear hub carriers, alloy front inline axles with 30º caster blocks, graphite trans brace, one piece wheels, 6130 body. The Team Truck type heavier arms were later made from black composite, but all the rest of the parts remained white until the changeover to T2 type arms, at which point all the plastic was black.

Is everyone happy I posted this stuff? :? Or did I just make it so the choppers know more without having to learn the old way?

:o

Certainly helped me... I am going to build one from a slightly used 10T and some parts. I am not sure I can get 100% correct (to the temple standard), but I am going to try. Thank you sir.

I don't know that I have a "standard" ... Just pointing out the differences. Everyone can butcher...I mean... restore as they please. I know what does it for me, and really would like others to have the option of doing restorations correctly if they wish, by having knowledge about the details available. I mentioned shooting my own foot off...that's because I still need some items that "all look the same" to the untrained eye. :?

Man, am I in a bad mood, or what?

Pretty explicit pictures like someone use to say, I really like your '10 educating side Temple, stay that way. You never know how much the eye of the kids that will buy them in 60 years on Ebay will be trained, and why not even your kids if you feed them with an even better knowledge that you let filter here
