Anyone has seen this one for sale? Any idea?

Any one has more info or photo on this one??

Seems like a widened SRB RCH front, CRP rear sway bar, MIP rear trailing arms, MIP gearbox, custom chassis with double deck etc..

I don't think it's a prototype, I've never seen Tamiya release any prototype pics ever. I'd say it's probably a project car for the Japanese magazine that features all the hop ups. They used to do that in RCCA all the time "Operation Sly Fox" and the like, where they take a stock kit and add as many aftermarket parts as possible and then do a write up how it performs. Cool car.

I think your correct on that being a custom mag build.

The body appears to be what they called an "Unser Buggy" that is cut down for the rollcage. It would make sense as we always thought the Unser buggy body was supposed to look like the Wells Coyote cars that were driven by Al and Bobby Jr (Unser)at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in the early 80s for a local car owner. It also makes sense as the Japanese were and are nuts about the race and its gets lots of coverage in Japan.

No one ever bought one of these bodys that I recall around here as it was a Hill Climb car and not and Off Road car in our opinion. Mid Engine Chevy V8. This is a nice looking model though. To have a correct suspension per the real car it would be a JRX2 Losi with the 5 bar rearend under it.. but.. I am now geeking out a bit and this is the wrong forum... ha.
