HI everyone, i'm new to this forum. I recently found at my parents house an RC10 that i bought many years go brand new. It is a gold pan, and it was partially assembled by me when it was first purchased. This has been never run as it's still not completed, is it worth it to finish it? or sell it, i'm not sure what an unfinished/new RC10 would be valued as. Could anyone give me some ideas?.
Thanks
Nick

Nick,
It would really depend on the year of the car and how far along you are. It will probably be worth more unused and unfinished.

It's worth nothing... you should give it to me!

You should finish it and run it. Get a lexan undertray though. Keep that goldpan nice and scratch free.

It would have been worth one trillion dollars unbuilt. But as it is half built, maybe $10. Ebay auction it to find out...

Your best bet is to search the completed eBay auctions to get an idea.

Its not worth much.but you can donate it to me it will go to a good home and look really nice oh i mean bad next to mine.so pm me and i will give you my info.heck i will even pay for shipping.
only kidding.stick around here read and learn.
Buy a nice 2.4radio setup
a good servo for the steering.a short case is nicer i found it keeps the linkage straighter
a good brushless system nothing that will kill it but make it fun and enjoyable
good lipo batterys and charger
Save your wheels buy junk ones of ebay to run on
And have fun.if you really get into it you have found a good place for answers.for upgrades like running newer wheels to how to rebuild your shocks.you can do alot as you see if you search around on here.i can help you with what i know just ask or pm me.or you can finish building it and put it on the shelf and by one off ebay to play with.there are people(like me) who would love to have this rare find.but remember this is about having fun and kearning as you go.

I would just like to say, its not meant to sound rude that nobody wants to appraise your car. Most around here view cars as something a little more special than a dollar symbol. Mostly its a priceless piece of old time memories. We are not here to make money, we are here because we love the old cars and like to race, build and talk to others who also like the same things. So please don't take offense if nobody likes to put a value on your car. Thats really up to you to decide.

I really appreciate all the conversations, i am also that way especially with older hobby items/ toys, etc. i have 5 year old who has the traditional RC Cars that he got for presents, etc. but i was debating on building this since it is more of a higher level RC, and keeping it for exactly that. a great memory, but i know there are people out there who would enjoy it also, it's not for $, after finding something that's been sitting for a while, it was really cool.
after looking at it close it is a Championship edition, B stamp. not really sure of what it all means yet but i'm learning.
I have a futuba radio system that my brother used to have in his " BLACKFOOT" but it honestly hastn' been used since 1989. still in package. i'm sure there are nicer systems out there.

not that i know of but id still try and limit how big you put them. dont want them to be overly big where you need to scroll to see everything.
