Hi all, Now that my kids are interested a little into rc cars. I busted out the old xx. I knew right off the bat I would need to replace the rear tie rod ends, now that I have dug into it and played around with the car and breaking more parts I now found out I need new shocks for the front, the front bulk head is busted, and I could maybe use some foam in the tires and a new body. For now I am running older electronics such as my duster megasport and green machine motor with a Futaba control/receiver/servo.

I was wondering what you all recommended for up grades. I was thinking once I find a front bulk head and get it back up to par, I would try this 15t motor I found at a local hobby store.

you may be able to bebuild the shocks if they aren't too bad. what's wrong with them? leaking?
the bulkhead should be on ebay, they are white. black ones are rare.

beware of some modern brushed motors. some are really bad. the venom fireballs are pretty weak.

if you just want a cheap brushed motor the tamiya sport tuned (aka "the black can") is a great motor.

are your tires glued? if so it will be tough to replace the foam.

As for the shocks, the mount of one broke off, and the spring went flying. They are not or don't appear to be leaking. There was just a used white bulk head on ebay that went for 50 something I thought that was Hi, I did find a shop that sold a new one for 43.00 The motor I was looking at was a dynamite 15t, and there was one other but don't remember the brand. The esc says there needs to be some caps soldered to the tabs on these is this so with the new motors. I don't think my tires are glued, and I never had foam in them.

Well I purchased the expensive front bulk and able to find some shock parts. So tomorrow I will set out to find a new battery, then the car will be up and running.

What kind of battery are you looking for? Did the old one give up?

I purchased 2 new 7.2 nimh at 3000 mah. They worked fine until one blew up while charging.

eek! I just at tony's a few days ago. Owner did mention he found some nip xx bulkheads and sold them for $50 online.. Thought he was joking.. Guess not...

Duder-I have two big bins of Losi parts,I'd be more than happy to give you the shock parts you need and give you a good brushed motor,too.
Got a Trinity Midnight stock motor that would go good in it.
I have a few front bulkheads,too.
Shoot me a P/M if you're interested.

fasterlouder, sorry about missing this. Its hard for me to keep up I need to find out why I don't get emails. But so far the Losi XX is still running and running good. I may be moving the electronics over to my Futaba FXT to make it complete. Once I make these to shelf queens I may have to buy a new truck.
