Bru-Line Super System Wheels

Got a couple sets of these and was wondering how they were regarded by people that used them. The plastic is hard, with little to no give, and I'm not sure if that made them sturdy, or prone to cracking. :?

They're designed for 1.9 to 2.2 tires, and since they came out c. 1988, they might be the earliest method for using modern tires on a vintage buggy. Unfortunately they're pretty heavy so probably not ideal for racing.

Also does anyone know if they take dye? One pair I got is yellowed, and if peroxide can't get them white I'd like to dye them. Worried the plastic they're made from might warp in boiling water though.

I'm familiar with the sets for Clods, and owned a pair some odd years ago. They seemed to be popular for no other reason than there weren't many monster truck wheel options back then.

Phin needs those to go with the rears he has. I think I still have some rear adapters for the frog and a bunch of fronts for the frog as well as a couple of sets of the wheels.
