This is my kyosho 300zx; it was my first real rc. I got it sometime in the early 90s and drove it religiously until parking it in 1994 when I got my worlds car. It sat in the box until 2004; then I put in a new motor and displayed it at a datsun z car show with my 73 240z. It still works (drove it this morning, in fact) but parts were already scarce in the mid 90s (I believe its an 80s vintage ultima chassis; I think they had a porsche at the same time too?) and I'm sure it's not much easier now (even with ebay). Im planning on displaying it with my worlds car.... once I get them both presentable that is. It really needs tires and I'm going to put the original front shocks on to bring the ride height back to normal...

Very nice! I remember drooling over these Kyosho scale cars in the Tower Hobbies catalogs back then. There was a Porsche flat-nose, and a Ferrari of some sort (Testarossa?) and also a ZR-1 Corvette. And I think some of them even came with interiors.

Now that you mention it, I do remember a Ferrari too but I never saw the vette. Coincidentally, this kit and my rc10 both came from your neck of the woods at tammies hobbys in Portland, OR!

Thats beautiful! Ive got a porsche 911 turbo body from the same line thats going onto a mid chassis. Your Z looks really nicely done!
