Long chassis on a Losi XX buggy?

Has anyone ever tried running the long chassis (Team Losi LOSA9903) on a Losi XX Buggy (not truck)?

Wondering if the standard body fits? (roughly)

And how much longer it is than the standard chassis?

Planning on running a XX on a very large, 1/8 based outdoor track and wondering if the longer chassis might prove slightly more stable (a'la +8mm chassis's that are all the rage on the modern cars).

Thanks in advance.

Interesting question! My track is also an old 1/8th scale design.

I measured short and std on the flat part, not including front hinge, if someone can measure the long chassis we will know!

I just measured it the 9903 Chassis vs the 9904 vs the 4102, there is only 1/4" of difference in the length. I don't have the 4100 chassis here to measure, but I don't recall is being all that much shorter than the 4102 XXT chassis.

232mm on the 9903 I have at my desk.

Many thanks chaps.

Tempted to give it a try. Would imagine a normal body could be made to fit just about.

Is the battery tray section the same length as a std chassis? A little extra length would be welcomed if not for lipo use.

You just add/subtract foam blocks. the added length is in the center of the chassis.

The body to run would be the A8040 XXL one.
A very cool body and it'll sit better on that long chassis.
I'm sure you could stretch and Excellerator or an A8008 on though.
