Yes, I did. I'm no professional, this is about the best I can do. It's only rattle cans for me as I don't have an airbrush, nor do I know how to use them. Thank you for the compliments, I'm glad everyone likes it.

Re: Next Project: Turbo Optima
Well, I found some BRP parts this weekend. So, I thought they would look good on my Optima. I snapped a quick pick this evening. What do you think?

Re: Next Project: Turbo Optima
I believe those wings are still somewhat readly available. Looks like a BRP to me and should be on ebay.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Next Project: Turbo Optima
Let me clarify, the wing bullets are not available anymore. The little metal thingies that attach to the shocktower which hold the wing wire.

Re: Next Project: Turbo Optima
I ordered some parts from Great Hobbies and happened to find a set of BRP bullets. I don't need them but maybe someone else would want them. I think they have 1 set left.

Re: Next Project: Turbo Optima
So I run my TO on a regular basis at the local bike jumps, and it is more fun than the rc10, but my tires are wearing out. Is that wheel tire combo you have readily available? By the way, I love the paint job, I am currently using a ghetto protech 1 but have one I have started to paint, but I suck at painting, and I don;t really care what it looks like. Also, if you do run it, and you are missing the bottom plate on the chassis, careful as the chain guard breaks easily when you come up short on big doubles.
Congrats on the great looking car. I am always torn between restoring it or runnin the hell out of it. Lately runnin has been winning.

The tires are Tamiya wide pin spikes. The wheels aren't available anymore. You can still put the Tamiya spikes on stock Turbo Optima rims. So, if you have those you can still get shoes.skimr2 wrote:So I run my TO on a regular basis at the local bike jumps, and it is more fun than the rc10, but my tires are wearing out.
