Hey guys, foam donuts are pretty much nonexistant and usually difficult to find. My question is what is the material used for donuts? I have done some research on this topic but I keep coming up with nothign that really helps. I found some info on EVA foam which seems to be close but nothing to really confirm what is used. I am certain the material still is out there, I just need to figure out what that material is. Any help would be apprciated.

Not hard to find at all- RC4Less, CRC, BSR all sell them-

CRC is the best outlet, a set of 1/8 foam doughnuts is around $17 and will do a full set of pan car wheels- of course, you need a tire truer-

Hmm, RC4Less shows nothing and I sent them an email, the reply was no more donuts in 1/10 other than the fronts. I emailed BSR and got a reply saying no donuts were being sold.

I did not know about the 1/8 donuts. Just looked at CRC and see the rear donuts for $17. Reg do you happen to know the dimensions of the donuts, they sell?

I called rc4less today and he had none in stock. Although I was asking for 1/10 pan car size.

The 1/8 scale donuts are "rear" they are big in diameter and width, but you can make 2 rear, and two fronts out of one set-

Yeah, that's why I created a coroplast box that covers my tire truer (large maxmod with the carbide arbor) I can knock a 3.50" OD donut down to 2.50 in one pass 8) and 4 lb of dust!!

That was always my problem with buying untrued tires. Buy something, then grind half of it away into dust. Seems so wasteful.

You can recycle 1/8 tires by soaking used foam off 1/8ths junk tires. What is too worn for them makes a nice new 1/10 tire.
