So TLR seems not to be using a 4wd car with battery slots in worlds.

Yes, but I still do hope and believe that the new TLR car will not have 6 sub-C size slots in it's chassis like their current 4wd cars (XX4 that can be almost be used in vintage nationals and XXX4) have.

in some forum, it says that it'll have the same 3 belt system , don't know for sure, pure speculation at this point in time. we could only wait till the worlds.

You can see in the photos on the LiveRC page that the XX4 drivetrain layout is used, you can see the XX4 style layshaft sticking out of the body and the moulded body over the top of the spur gear cover.

Looking very much like an updated XX4 with alloy chassis.

But would a 3 belt system better than 2 belt (yz10) or single(optima mid se), kust thinnthat the
Motor placement (weight bias)was the factor for doing multi belt system.that is just my observation.

Funny, I was thinking XX4 at first glance, Losi's best 4WD to date! Car looks good in the pics, happy to see some development from them!

Funny how it's come kinda full circle with the chassis. I'm pretty sure the prototype XX4 had a magnesium chassis. There's gotta be a pic of that here somewhere..

Copy the three belt drive, because you can make out the slot that'll clear bigger spurs in there I think.

The XX4 gave the perfect chassis weight balance. The only problem with the XX4 when it was released is that the three belt drivetrain was less efficient so you would need better batteries and motor to get the same performance than it's competitors. Now we have high capacity lipos and brushless motors the XX4 has come into it's own again and is still winning races today. Today drivetrain efficiency isn't important, if it was you wouldn't see racers getting in a few practice laps before the start of their race so the number of belts used is pretty irrelevant.

My thoughts also,jut hope that the maintenance thatbgoes with it,hope they would design it in such a way that it would not require you to remOve everything just to replace a belt. We'll see..

The towers and arms look to be molded (not machined) the best I can tell, which is a good indication they have been working on it for a while. Maybe it is much further along that early prototype phase?

Could also be my want for a new TLR buggy clouding my vision.

Havent had a losi 4wd before,i think this could be the first...just hope a have a few bucks to spare...hahahah..
I prefer the belt drive system (2pcs) but more than that i think its very troublesome to work on,i just got used to my DeX410 that you can remove a gear box with 4 screws in less than a minute...but i just feel that the shat driven car(410), tends to have this tendency to shift to opposite the direction of the motor rotation..Of course there is the Cat anf also Tamiya 2 belt system,but sure wish yokomo do re re their Yz10's hahah.
